Advancement Award of the city of Clausthal-Zellerfeld

In memory of its honorary citizen Robert Koch and to promote medical and biological research, the mining town of Clausthal-Zellerfeld, birthplace of Robert Koch, established a prize in 1981. The prizewinner is proposed by the Robert Koch Foundation and the prize is awarded every two years.

Advancement Award of the city of Clausthal-Zellerfeld 2020

The Robert Koch Advancement Award 2020 from the city of Clausthal-Zellerfeld went to Prof. Dr. Petra Bacher. She is Junior Professor for Immunology and Immunogenetics at the Institute of Immunology at the Christian-Albrechts-University Kiel. She received the award for her unique, translational research on the regulation of human immune responses.
